FormMail 1.92 :: Configure Sort Order

This field defined a default sorting order for any form. If empty, form fields will be sorted in the order they are received (which is usually the order they appear on your form). You may also put the world "alphabetic" in this field and form fields will be sorted in alphabetic order based on their field name.

One final option is to specify an exact ordering for any fields in your form. To do so, you start with "order:" and then list the field names separated by commas. When FormMail spots this, the fields will be printed to the email in the exact order you have entered. Please note that you must include any fields you want printed in this ordering, otherwise the fields will not appear. For instance, if you form has only two fields: age and message you could enter a sort order of:

order:age,message

These two fields will always be printed in this order in your form results.

If Dynamic, you can change the sort order on a per-form basis using the 'sort' form field. It is suggested you leave this configuration blank or set it to "alphabetic" unless you have read the detailed how-to guide and understand how the sorting works.

More information on the choice between Dynamic or Fixed is available.
